PATCH87
This computer was an older one we saved for my mother-in-law. She is on disability and loves to play the games on the computer. It is not hooked to the internet so we did not put an antivirus.

We had built six for the learning lab but we had more kids that wanted to join the class so we squeezed in another computer so we now have seven. We were glad to add one more and be able to help another kid.
IBM had donated two computes to Greenvale in the past and we worked on one of them. The other computer must have gotten upset and stopped working. This is a picture of the computer brought back to life and being used. http://www.kidsmartearlylearning.org/
Here is another computer we fixed up for the Blue Ridge Independent Living Center. This Dell should find a good home for someone.

A wife of a friend of mine works at a church preschool and their computer had not worked for a while. She heard about what we have been doing and asked if PatchX could help. This computer looks like the first of many for this wonderful preschool. http://www.kidsmartearlylearning.org/
This computer along with Patch102 was fixed up and delivered to a local pre-school. We were able to hear the pledge of allegience while we were there.
I teach her son in a computer class and he has the love of learning and technology. He just started sixth grade this year and was talking to me the other day about trying to do a still motion movie. This laptop will allow him to be able to work on a computer anytime and with built in wifi easier access to the internet. Merry Christmas.
This is the third computer we have fixed up for a local pre-school for the kids to use in their classrooms. The other two we have been told are very popular.
I spoke to their mom on freecycle last year but we were never able to meet. Her daughter started Kindergarden and the help of a computer will hopefully make learning more fun.
My mother is from Mullens, West Virginia and read in their paper about The Way America (http://thewayamerican.org") refurbishing an old Big Lots for the kids in the county. We contacted them last year about some computers for them. We are able to go this Monday and deliver four computers. This first picture is the front of the building. Photo credit Bill Martin.
Walking into The Way America we wanted to post this picture to see how much work all of the people at Mullens through the past years have but into the building. When we called them on Saturday to ak about coming down Monday they told us over 100 kids were there using the facility. It is a blessing for us to be able to help this group. To keep tradition alive this picture has me doing some hand modeling while dropping the computers on to the table. We look forward to more pictures to place on facebook with the kids using the equipment.

This last picture is of Mark who planted the seed in the building and what it has become. He was up from Florida and I consider it an honor to meet him in person to deliver the computers. The love and passion Mark and the people from Mullens have put into the center is felt as soon as you walk in the door. Hopefully there will be more computers going from Botetourt to Mullens.
This computer along with Patch112 are ones that had been donated in the past from IBM. We were able to fix it back up and deliver to Greenvale.
This is another computer for the Little Tykes computer system. Problem we had was the IBM that was in there decided it no longer wanted to work so we had to replace it with an HP computer. We wanted to get a picture with someone using the computer but it was nap time.
Here is another computer we fixed up for the Blue Ridge Independent Living Center. Since summer is coming we decided to give it a pair of sunglasses.
Greenvale School teachers are required to update their information via computers where in the past they would fill out sheets while their children napped. In order for them to do this another teacher would need to watch their room while they went to the computer lab to update the PALS website. This is the first laptop of others we will be donating to Greeenvale to allow teachers to update their class information while not having to leave the room.
