This computer was donated by another co-worker's mother. We were able to fix it up and deliver it over to the Blue Ridge Independant Living center fairly quickly.
This computer was donated by one of my co-workers. She is involved in so many cool things for the community and here is another example. The BRILC is a good home for your computer.
The computers we fix up for the BRILC center go to them and then they distribute them to their customers. We do not always get a picture so I try to be creative. This is one of the computer books I have enjoyed reading about the inventions developed at Xerox labs. Things like the mouse, GUI, smalltalk, ethernet among other. Here is a link to open library page, Dealers of Lighting Donated by and fixed for:
Greenvale School teachers are required to update their information via computers where in the past they would fill out sheets while their children napped. In order for them to do this another teacher would need to watch their room while they went to the computer lab to update the PALS website. This is the second laptop of others we will be donating to Greeenvale to allow teachers to update their class information while not having to leave the room.

We used to teach a computer class at Greenvale and this young man was one of our top students. The owner of the company I work for had an older laptop he wanted to donate and this young man was the perfect fit.
These books are from the first computer class I took in the library at my elementary school. A friend of mine is married to her and she still had them. I was very happy to have something from my past computer learning.

This was the second computer given to Bookbag Santa. Led by Gary Hunt the organization has been gathering supplies from area schools to pack up and donate to the schools in Belize. We are honored he asked us to help out with a couple of laptops for the cause. We tried to have some fun at make it look like Santa was carrying one of them.
Thanks to the article in the paper about PatchX we were able to work with the Charity Bookbag Santa. This computer along with Patch120 were at the Acts2Ministry offices needing some TLC. John Burrows was able to fix them up to give back to a couple of families of the kids that come to Acts2. This is a picture of one of the great volunteers. We will be getting more pictures once they have been delivered.
It is always great to have a repeat customer. When we started this idea over four years ago we fixed up a couple of computers for this pre-school. Well computers have advanced quite a bit since then so we did a refresh for them with three new computers. Patch116, Patch117 and Patch118.

His birthday is coming up and his parents just got him a desk for the computer we were able to donate. This is the first computer fixed up by John Burrows. Nothing like another smiling face with a computer that may have gone to waste somewhere.

Here is another computer we fixed up for the Blue Ridge Independent Living Center. Since summer is coming we decided to give it a pair of sunglasses.
